A collaboration between developers Urban and CHT Architects.
Sustainability measures include recycling 20,000 bricks from an existing building at the site, as well as harvesting water from the roof to do everything from flush the toilets in a hotel planned for the lower levels to keeping communal gardens green.
Solar panels will power common areas, specialised glass will moderate temperatures in the 35 apartments, and even bin night will be a bit different thanks to an organic waste digester and electronic waste disposal point.
Common features throughout the apartments will include Portsea limestone and sustainably-sourced timber floors. A rooftop residents’ facility will span 120sq m and includes two barbecue areas and a gym.

“Your comment in the report about the level and height limitation of the other buildings around the one I was looking at was so helpful. That insight and knowledge was gold in helping me assess the apartment before I bought it.”
“You helped give me insight into the apartment design that the common person wouldn’t normally have. It was super valuable having that knowledge on hand when I was deciding which apartment to buy”
“I was struggling to decide which apartment to buy out of two options in very different locations. The Good Designs report showed me information that the real estate agents didn’t want me to see and helped me choose the right apartment based on what was most important to me”
